Sennebogen will be presenting the new 718 E-Series, a mobile telescopic forestry crane of the latest generation, for demanding applications in the wood industry and landscaping. With two equipment variants, the Energy and Loading versions, the machine will be shown at the KWF exhibition in Roding, Germany.
With a comprehensive range of machinery, Sennebogen offers the right solution for any job having to do with the logistics of wood processing. In addition to its existing 7-series machines, which are designed specially to transport wood in the lumberyard and have demonstrated their proficiency in a host of applications over the years, Sennebogen will be presenting two machines for versatile use outside of sawmills, the 718 Energy and Loading, at the KWF Tagung – the largest forestry demofair in the world from 9 to 12 June in the Bavarian town of Roding, Germany.
For a wide variety of tasks ranging from removing problematic trees, to cutting back vegetation on roads and canals, to use with various attachments, the Sennebogen 718 can be used efficiently year-round.
The 718 comes in two equipment versions, depending on the application requirements. For the operation of various attachments, the 718 Energy has an especially powerful hydraulic system. The machine itself is equipped with a 119 kW diesel engine and a special boom with a telescopic stick. This makes it possible to conveniently cover a work area of 13 m. Thanks to lifting capacities of up to 1.7 t with full outreach, even heavy logs can be safely manipulated. With an operating weight of 21.4 t and compact dimensions, the machine can also be used in tight spaces and in road traffic. Fields of application include, for example, cutting back vegetation on roads and forest paths, protecting and cutting slopes, or log processing.
For driving the smaller variant of the 718 Loading, a 97 kW diesel engine is sufficient. In this version, the machine is primarily used for wood handling and for loading and unloading logs; operation with hydraulic attachments is not intended. The telescopic stick is used here for loading trucks. Both machine variants are equipped with the comfortable Maxcab, which can be elevated 2.7 m to ensure maximum safety and an optimum overview of the work area. The 718 also comes with large single-profile tires and a powerful all-wheel travel drive. Especially for transport between different operation sites, the machine can be easily driven on a normal flat-bed trailer thanks to its compact transport dimensions with a 2.83 m rear pivoting radius and 2.63 m total width.
