FleetVSiON – your key to smarter and more efficient operations

Would you like your materials handling operation to be safer, more productive and more cost-effective? Cat Lift Trucks now offers FleetVSiON – an integrated telematics solution designed to optimise your forklift fleet management.

FleetVSiON monitors your trucks remotely, gathering and transmitting vital information which can be used to fulfil your fleet’s potential. Its data and insights answer such questions as:
• Where are your trucks?
• Who is driving them?
• Have the operators completed their pre-op checks?
• What is their condition?
• Has an accident or impact happened (and how intense was it)?
• Are your trucks being fully used?
• Are your drivers taking care of them?
• How can your operation be improved and made more efficient?

FleetVSiON, cheia către operațiuni mai inteligente și mai eficiente ale stivuitoarelorFleetVSiON has been developed specifically for lift trucks, by trusted partners in the global materials handling family of which Cat Lift Trucks is part. Its designers have worked closely with Cat product developers and other staff to ensure customers’ operational needs are fully met.

What are its benefits?
The key benefits of using FleetVSiON telematics include:
• GPS location – so you never lose track of your trucks
• Access control – ensuring only authorised and certified operators use the trucks, and making drivers accountable
• Digital pre-op checks – for confident compliance
• Impact detection – minimising accidents and damage
• Utilisation monitoring – to get more out of your fleet
• Data collection and analysis – bringing insights and opportunities to improve

How does FleetVSiON work?
The principles of the system and its application are as follows:
• A FleetVSiON telematics control unit (TCU) is factory-fitted or retrofitted to each truck in the fleet. This continuously gathers data, in real time, from onboard sensors and other sources. It immediately transmits all data, wirelessly, to a cloud-based server.
• A user-friendly interface portal shows managers the data collected and gives analyses and reports.
• Meanwhile, the truck receives information from the cloud-based server and from the customer’s fleet controller. An RFID card reader allows authorised drivers to use the truck and access information via its display screen.
• This creates a powerful internet of things (IoT) application: a network of connected devices and equipment, communicating with each other, with the cloud-based server and with managers and users.

The benefits of FleetVSiON can be applied to almost any forklift. That includes trucks of other brands, for which a universal retrofit kit is available.
