Snorkel has launched three new global products on their stand at Bauma 2016, the world’s leading trade fair for construction, building materials, mining machines, construction vehicles and equipment.
The show marked the global launch of Snorkel’s new mid-size telescopic boom lift family, which is now in production and ready to order. Snorkel displayed the largest model in the family, the Snorkel 660SJ, on their stand at Bauma. The model 660SJ delivers a 20.3m maximum platform height, with 18.0m maximum outreach, and it can lift up to 272kg. It is the largest model in the new family of four telescopic boom lifts, which also include the Snorkel 400S, 460SJ and 600S models.
The new booms feature Snorkel’s innovative quick-disconnect tri-entry platform, and are fitted with Snorkel Guard™ secondary guarding system as standard. Built to last and handle the toughest terrain, the boom lifts have powerful constant four-wheel drive, and also feature a fully proportional, open-loop hydraulic system with all joystick controls.
Snorkel has displayed also two new additions to their electric slab scissor lift family at Bauma, which have their global debut. The new S3215E and S3220E models join the existing family of four hydraulic drive lifts, which include the S3219E, S3226E, S4726E and S4732E. The S3215E delivers a working height of 6.5m and can lift up to 272kg. The S3220E delivers a working height of 8.1m, and a substantial lift capacity of 408kg. These models have been requested by European customers, where there is a focus on higher capacities. Snorkel has recently upgraded their scissor lift family with the addition of proportional descent for more precise positioning when lowering the platform, as well as a new ‘easy-slide’ extension deck mechanism.
Another first on the stand was Snorkel’s new electric drive version of its popular TM12 self-propelled telescopic mast lift. Branded the TM12E, it will lift up to 227kg (500 lbs.) to a platform height of up to 3.65m, and weighs in at 840kg. The efficient electric drive system delivers longer duty cycles, a zero inside turning radius and includes a new electric braking system. The TM12E will be available to order in Quarter 3, 2016, and will be sold alongside the current hydraulic drive TM12.
