Since the end of last year, preparations for launching Sany truck-mounted concrete pumps as Putzmeister’s secondary brand in Europe have been underway. The launch scheduled for the beginning of this year was postponed to early summer due to the coronavirus pandemic. The first units have now been sold in Great Britain and Cyprus.
Putzmeister PCP offers configured truck-mounted concrete pumps from the 20m to the 60m class for customers who have previously purchased low-priced machines from Italy or Korea, for example. The Sany truck-mounted concrete pumps, which are delivered to the Aichtal site as X-units (assembled but without a chassis), are mounted on Volvo chassis, tested, and made ready for shipment in Aichtal.
Compared to customizable Putzmeister truck-mounted concrete pumps covering the premium market with various options to choose from, Sany truck-mounted concrete pumps are only available as fully configured machines in one color and with Volvo chassis.
Sales and aftersales service for the machines as well as the supply of spare and wear parts will be handled by long-standing Putzmeister dealers MMB in Belgium and Alltech in Poland, and by the subsidiaries PMIB and PMUK in Spain and Great Britain.
To support the launch, the website www.Sanyconcretemachinery.com has been set up, where descriptions for the truck-mounted concrete pumps are available in German, English, Spanish and French. Along with this website, Putzmeister is also using social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. From mid-August, training courses for the service staff at Putzmeister and Putzmeister dealers are provided to familiarise staff with maintenance and repair of the Sany truck-mounted concrete pumps.
