Pfanzelt Maschinenbau presented the new Moritz Fr50 tracked felling mini-tractor at the KWF Exhibition 2016 in Roding, Germany. The new machine is designed to flexibly fulfil a wide range of duties under a variety of working conditions.
Anywhere where a cable winch is required for the purposes of accident prevent (e.g. for safety fellings), the new tracking felling tractor is the perfect machine for safer forestry operations.
Due to its narrow wheel base when the caterpillar tracks are retracted, the tractor is also perfect for use in tricky felling jobs in urban areas or gardens. Another application of the newly developed tracked felling tractor is preparatory work. The caterpillar tractor comes into its own on the most demanding terrain, on slopes and in standing timber with fragile soil structures.
The compact tracked felling tractor weighs only 1.3 tonnes and can be easily transported to the work location on a semi-trailer or a pickup truck.
