This year, MEILLER showcased new tipper innovations Bauma Munich exhibition. For the first time, MEILLER has given a unique name to the new three-way tipper generation which premièred at the IAA Transportation. A design derived from a single source, the range has been completely reworked, from the lightest to the heaviest model. All TRIGENIUS three-way tippers are based on a modular system, have a new, uniform design with numerous smooth surfaces and set standards in terms of ergonomics, operation and efficiency.

New TRIGENIUS three-way tippers for every weight class
In every weight class, the new three-way tippers in the TRIGENIUS product family are now more robust, lighter and exhibit greater durability. Functionality, operation and handling are practically identical, from the light TRIGENIUS D202 tipper body for 3.5 tonnes to the large TRIGENIUS D428 for 4-axle vehicles with an overall weight of 41 tonnes. Their modular design and the increased use of bolted connections facilitate numerous individual adaptations to meet the most varied customer requirements, meaning numerous options can also be retrofitted at a later stage.

Two new brands: TECTRIS skip handlers and TECTRUM hooklifts
Naming is now pervading other product groups at MEILLER, as the latest generation of skip handlers will in the future be called TECTRIS and the new hooklifts TECTRUM. TECTRIS is strongly reminiscent of Tetris, the computer puzzle that sees blocks being stacked on top of each, preferably without gaps. Based on this, TECTRIS symbolizes individual and flexible positioning of skips with an accuracy that is evident in even the smallest gaps. TECTRUM, on the other hand, simply exudes strength and size, associations that bring to mind high load volumes, large container dimensions, and handling of the most varied container types.

The new TECTRIS AK14: a modular screw-fitted design
Completely revamped TECTRIS AK14 skip handlers for a nominal load of 14 tonnes definitely stimulated the interest of visitors at bauma. The unit is also a modular design, thus enabling weld-free screw mounting. In conjunction with different screw-fitted attachment modules, a standardized basic loading platform now facilitates the optimum use of available truck installation space. Screw connections on the tipping superstructure facilitate the fitting of already painted components, flexible adjustment to meet customer requirements, simple retrofitting of components and quicker, more cost-effective changing of spare parts.

In addition, the rear lights on TECTRIS skip handlers have been redesigned and are better protected as a result. MEILLER now fits energy-saving and durable LED rear lights as a standard feature. The engineers have also optimized the fastening plate for improved transmission and distribution of force and modified the so-called M-clip for a greater slewing range. The integrated weighing system for MEILLER skip handlers is a completely new feature. The container weight can be measured with this option and indicated immediately on the color display of the reliable i.s.a.r.-control 3 remote system.

MEILLER now employs a cathodic dip primer coating process for load-bearing steel components to ensure consistently high surface quality and an even longer service life of the TECTRIS. Cathodic electrophoretic deposition provides excellent protection against corrosion. The hardness of this new primer makes the unit less sensitive to scratching and damage caused by stone chippings. The new technology, which is also employed for TRIGENIUS three-way tippers and TECTRUM hooklifts, sees MEILLER extending the guarantee for all load-bearing parts such as base frames, booms, arms, loading platforms, and stabilizing jacks to five years.

New underrun protection for MEILLER tipping semi-trailers
Just in time for bauma, MEILLER presented a newly designed underrun protection for its tipping semi-trailers that, just as with its predecessor, complies with statutory requirements pursuant to ECE R58.03. The underrun protection now consists of high-tensile steels and, with a weight of only 59 kg, is around 20 kg lighter than its predecessor and, when folded upwards, is about 800 mm above the road surface. Few manufacturers can offer such a high paving dimension for its underrun protection. This extensive clearance means that MEILLER tipping semi-trailers can dock with greater ease on asphalt or road finishers without damaging their rubber lips.

The laser-welded underrun protection is a screw-fitted design and is suitable for all tailgate variants, tire sizes and travel heights. The rear lights remain completely visible, even when folded up, and they are in no way concealed. The new profile design of the underrun protection also reduces dirt accumulations on the main pipe. Selectively manual or pneumatic operation is possible at the press of a button. The pneumatic cylinder is in a protected location in the chassis, and the hard chromium-plated cylinder rod also disappears into the tipper frame when actuated where it is safe, secure, and cannot be damaged.
