Himoinsa continues to develop a complete family of battery power storage and distribution systems reaching 2 MW, following the roadmap set out in its strategy for electrification. In addition to the current models that have been on the market for the past two years, we can now add the EHR 45/70 and EHR 45/90 in 50Hz and the EHR 30/70 and EHR 30/90 in 60Hz, which increase available energy by up to 33% and significantly expand storage capacity by increasing the height of the unit, creating more space to accommodate eight additional battery modules.

Himoinsa, which has already sold three hundred Battery Power Generators over the last two years, with its models EHR 30/30, EHR 30/60, EHR 45/45 and EHR 45/60, is now adding new, larger units to its portfolio to meet the market needs.

These new models retain the same features as the smaller storage capacity units in terms of ease of use, robustness and connectivity. Furthermore, these new models will be available with automatic Bypass operation. The system responds to any alarm that causes the EHR to stop and automatically connects the main power source (generator set or grid) to the load, ensuring the power supply. This feature will be available in all of Himoinsa’s existing models.

“We are continuously working towards developing new models, as we believe the market demands diversity and complementarity of battery systems. Each sector calls for different storage capacities and available power in units of varying sizes, which is why we offer a complete portfolio of up to 2 MW”, explained Agustín Rodrigo, Storage and Battery Systems Product Manager.

Over 300 units sold and more developments on the way

Therefore, Himoinsa continues to follow its roadmap for new developments, meaning that these new models will be joined by new developments in early 2025; these include the EHR60/100 and 90/130 in 50Hz, and the EHR 60/100 and 90/130 in 60Hz, whose units will ensure power output of up to 90kVA, increasing power by over 58%.

“In terms of application, the main sectors and sites where EHR units provide excellent performance are undoubtedly construction projects, where our Battery Power Generators work with low load profile generator sets or with cranes”, explained Agustín Rodrigo, adding that “with this equipment we can reduce both consumption as well as maintenance, which directly affects emissions, reducing them by as much as 50%.”

Efficiency and Optimal Performance
EHR is a power storage system with batteries that can operate independently, guaranteeing zero noise and emissions, or can be integrated with a diesel or gas-powered generator set, a connection to the public electricity grid, and renewable energy integration like solar panels to ensure greater power efficiency and optimise emissions and noise.

The EHR | Battery Power Generator power storage and distribution systems are equipped with a HICORE System, management technology designed by Himoinsa that allows for a more efficient use of power. This advanced management system selects the optimal power source based on each load situation, providing a more efficient and environmentally-friendly power solution by prioritising aspects such as increasing efficiency, reducing emissions, increasing sustainability and flexibility, and optimising energy resources.

The system allows you to select pre-set work modes for different applications or modes of use: Plug & Play, Low Loads – low load profile, Peak Shaving, UPS, load sharing and Power Booster– specially designed for torque start-up of electric engines.
The lithium-ferrophosphate batteries are designed to offer a useful life of 6,000 cycles. At one cycle per day, this would offer a useful life of approximately five years, a life superior to other batteries and storage system manufacturers.
