Himoinsa, a company specialized in the production and sale of electric generators, opens its first logistics warehouse in Chiajna, an investment of 500,000 euros, which will serve the markets in Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia.
The warehouse has an area of over 1 500m2, the storage space is allocated to the storage of industrial generators and will be managed by All Generating, Himoinsa distributor in Romania. By opening this warehouse, Himoinsa and All-Generating will cut delivery times for the customers in the region, reduce logistics costs by up to 5%, and provide a buffer stock of generators from the usual range while offering customers a fast local service and a spare parts distribution point.
“We intend to expand our maintenance services nationwide, and the new deposit offers exactly the support we need. If market evolution will be positive, we are considering increasing stock value from 500,000 euros by the end of this year to 1 million euros in 2018”, said Cătălin Stanciulescu, Commercial Director All Generating.
In 2004, Himoinsa opened a subsidiary in Poland, from which it directly serves markets in Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Belarus, and Ukraine. With the opening of Chiajna’s logistics warehouse, HIMOINSA is stepping up its presence in Eastern Europe, where it has a major distribution network.
“By investing in the Chiajna warehouse, we will provide our customers with backup solutions for continuous power supply. We will also offer lighting towers and generators with a wide power range, primarily 20 to 900kVA, as these models are the most popular in this region”, said Guillermo Elum, EMEA Region Director Himoinsa.
Currently, the market for electrical generators in Romania is estimated at 20 million euros, these equipment being predominantly used in sectors such as health, public administration, construction, retail, mining, communications, tourism, agriculture, IT&C (data center).
Himoinsa has been present on the Romanian market since 2010, among the major projects delivered being the supply of a set of generators for Transgaz,
the national company responsible for gas transportation in Romania. The generator sets provide emergency power to the control centers in the handling stations, thereby preventing malfunctions in the electrical network from interrupting gas supply throughout the country and Constanta Port, where Himoinsa supplies generator sets for the cranes that load and unload the containers.
