BKT tires at Elmia Wood 2017

With full support on the spot from its partner Gripen Wheels, BKT will be present at Elmia Wood, the four-yearly international trade fair for the forest industry. The event takes place from June 7 to 10, 2017 in the Bratteborgs Gård forests, south of Jönköping, Sweden. In this extraordinary setting, you can watch all machinery operating in its natural environment.

With more than 500 exhibitors and 500,000 visitors coming from all over the world, Elmia Wood is a top venue for forestry operators. It is the perfect occasion for BKT and Gripen Wheels to showcase the top tires for forestry applications such as Forestech and TR 678 along with the tires Flotation 648 for transport operations and W 207 for ATV vehicles.

Forestry operations are a tough challenge for tires. Indeed, operating conditions affecting this type of machinery that moves amid stones and debris are often hard and demanding.
Because of many critical aspects to deal with, the world of forestry requires great competence and experience. BKT has taken up this challenge by designing highly specialist tires that are developed in laboratory based on the study of real operating conditions.

At the Elmia Wood trade fair, BKT and Gripen Wheels are going to display Forestech in two sizes: 710/45 – 26.5 and 750/55 – 26.5. Forestech is a steel-belted tire, especially designed for forwarders. It provides outstanding traction even in heavy-duty service in addition to excellent puncture resistance and an extended product life-cycle.

Exhibited in sizes 700/55 – 34 and 600/65 – 34, the tire TR 678 is particularly suitable for forestry tractors. Its main features are remarkable traction and self-cleaning properties along with high load capacity and excellent cut-and-chip resistance.
Extraordinary flotation on the terrain is the specialty of Flotation 648 showcased in size 600/55 – 22.5. The great plus of this tire is its ability to carry heavy loads, e.g. trunks, at low inflation pressure. This ensures less soil compaction and protects the soil.
Finally, W 207 will be on display for the ATV world in sizes AT 25 X 8 – 12 and AT 25 X 10 – 12. This tire offers maximum traction even on earthy terrain.
