This year, Hultdins has launched several upgrades to its SuperGrip R and RR forestry grapples, bringing the heavy-duty design to a more compact format. These include the SG260R, SG310R, SG420R, SG260RR, and SG520RR models. The redesign includes stronger materials, optimized geometry, and improved durability — all developed in close cooperation with end users, with focus on real customer benefits.

As with all new SuperGrip models, the design benefits from updated S-line construction principles such as high-strength materials in key load points and improved arm-to-frame interfaces.

SG260R, SG310R, and SG420R
Lighter– less weight but retained strength.
Optimized geometry – enhanced performance, improved grip characteristics and smoother material flow.
Wear-resistant tip plates – increased service life in demanding applications (not applicable for log grapples without knives).
Reinforcements – SG260R, SG310R, and SG420R include additional strengthening beyond the standard model.

SG260RR and SG520RR
The SuperGrip RR is a heavy-duty brushwood grapple based on the SuperGrip S log grapple. As its lighter sibling, the SuperGrip R, lacks grapple arm tips, making it perfectly suited to handle biomass such as tree residue and tree stumps.
These grapples represent the next step in Hultdins’ evolution, bringing our unique Heavy Duty bio grapples into the updated design. Based on the respective size’s Heavy Duty S-line timber grapple, the 260RR and 520RR combine maximum load capacity with durability, offering unmatched performance in the bio grapple segment. The redesign incorporates stronger materials, optimized geometry, and enhanced durability — all developed in close cooperation with end users.

Stronger – forged bearing housings in the grapple arms provide increased strength and stiffness. The SG260RR also includes larger bearings for additional support.
Optimized geometry – enhanced performance, improved grip characteristics, and smoother material flow.
R-model reinforcement – the Bio Grapples include additional strengthening beyond the standard model, for demanding applications.
