LBX Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Construction Machinery, introduces three new Long Front Excavators – the 220, 260, and 370 X4S. At the core of these powerful machines lies a sophisticated electronically controlled hydraulic pump system and the industry-recognized SSC (Spool Stroke Control) system. This innovative combination ensures precise control and optimal performance in various applications, from dredging and waterway work to road construction and site remediation.

All three machines demonstrate impressive reach capabilities. The 220 model extends to 50 feet 10 inches, while the 260 takes it to the next level, reaching 59 feet 9 inches. The 370 model boasts the longest reach, extending to 60 feet 10 inches.
Digging deeper isn’t an issue with these machines, as the 220 X4S Long Front model can dig up to 39 feet 5 inches, the 260 model can reach 47 feet 9 inches, and the 370 model can dig to a depth of 46 feet 3 inches.

The Isuzu Final Tier 4 engine, renowned for its exceptional fuel economy, powers the machines with optimized swing speed. The innovative design eliminates the need for a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), reducing maintenance costs and environmental impact. Operators can choose from four power modes- Speed Priority, Eco, and Lift- to tailor performance to specific tasks, maximizing efficiency and minimizing fuel consumption.

Built for durability and reliability, the Long Fronts feature a lengthy 500-hour fuel filter service interval, enabling operators to work longer between filter changes. Additionally, the DEF tank’s low consumption rate of only 2-3% compared to diesel fuel allows for extended operation between refills. Fuel consumption in SP mode is improved by 4% for the 220 LF, 4.5% for the 260 LF, and 3% for the 370 X4S LF (compared to the X4’s SP mode). All service points are conveniently accessible at ground level for easy access.

The spacious cab, equipped with ROPS and FOPS Level 1 certification, provides a comfortable and safe working environment. A high-definition, 10-inch LCD monitor features an anti-glare coating for clear visibility in all lighting conditions. The user-friendly monitor can be customized to display essential information, including custom hydraulic work tool names, system and machine warning messages, SCR auto regeneration status, in-cab pressure controls, and WAVES (Wide Angle Visual Enhancement System) provides a seamless 270° view around the machine. Ample legroom, a high back, tilting, and a heated seat contribute to a work environment that promotes relaxation and focus for operators working long hours.
