Our customers expect reliability and durability, but they need it from a simpler, lighter package with more power and that\u2019s what we\u2019re giving them.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The 6 cylinder, 9.3 liter engine combines a new high-pressure, common rail fuel system and simplified air, electrical and aftertreatment systems to produce up to 340 kW of power and 2,088 Nm of torque out of a package that is nearly 140 kg lighter than its predecessor. These changes will deliver many customer benefits including increased performance, improved fuel consumption and exceptional starting capability in cold climates.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mequipment.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/CM20171128-06965-05800.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"337\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6550\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mequipment.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/CM20171128-06965-05800.jpg 450w, https:\/\/mequipment.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/CM20171128-06965-05800-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/>These significant system upgrades, which provide added value to OEM customers, build on the core engine, which has been in production since 2011 with more than 46,000 engines, logging more than 150 million hours in real world off-highway applications. With a proven, reliable core engine and DPF (diesel particulate filter) solution already in place, Caterpillar\u2019s focus for EU Stage V construction customers has been on simplifying design and improving performance.<\/p>\n<p>Along with taking 39% of the aftertreatment packaging size out of the previous design, customers can opt for engine-mounted aftertreatment (EMAT) and full industrial power units (IPU) straight from the factory.
