This latest model completes the range of Komatsu EU Stage IV compliant hydrostatic dozers. With its new 4\u2010cylinder engine, ECO and POWER modes and automatic idling shut\u2010down system, the D51EX\/PX\u201024 can drastically increase customer\u2019s profitability. Thanks to its steeply downwards sloped engine hood, the operator can experience an outstanding all\u2010round visibility, which makes the Komatsu D51EX\/PX\u201024 a preferred dozer for any application.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cKomatsu puts the operator\u2019s needs as the highest priority and continuously works to optimize engine and hydrostatic transmission technology\u201d, says William Groven, Product Manager at Komatsu Europe. \u201cThe new D51EX\/PX\u201024 offers class\u2010leading productivity and can achieve an increased fuel efficiency of up to 15% compared to the previous model\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Available in either long track\u2010on\u2010ground (EX) or low ground pressure (PX) configuration, the D51EX\/PX\u201024 crawler dozer offers flotation and weight distribution options, tailored to customers\u2019 applications. The new Komatsu dozer features a powerful and efficient 4.5 litres, 98 kW (131 HP), SAA4D107E\u20103 EU Stage IV emissionscertified engine, with a \u201cHeavy\u2010duty\u201d aftertreatment system. A Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system is now added to the Komatsu Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (KDOC), which requires only passive regeneration \u2010 with no fuel wasted to clean the exhaust filter.<br \/>\nThe D51EX\/PX\u201024 proposes superior Komatsu durability and lower operating costs to customers. Wear life of Komatsu\u2019s high quality components was further increased, and a new triple labyrinth seal now protects the final drive from dirt and damage.<\/p>\n<p>The new high\u2010comfort cab has an adjustable and heated, air suspension high back seat. Possibilities for fleet management are expanded thanks to an upgraded high\u2010resolution TFT\u2010LCD machine monitor, with ECO\/POWER mode selection and operator identification. Job site safety is a key Komatsu value and a factory integrated rear view camera is included as standard.
