{"id":21117,"date":"2023-12-18T16:14:19","date_gmt":"2023-12-18T14:14:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mequipment.ro\/?p=21117"},"modified":"2023-12-18T16:17:16","modified_gmt":"2023-12-18T14:17:16","slug":"volvo-ce-va-ceda-divizia-de-finisoare-de-asfalt-abg-catre-ammann-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mequipment.ro\/en\/volvo-ce-va-ceda-divizia-de-finisoare-de-asfalt-abg-catre-ammann-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Volvo CE reaches agreement to divest ABG Paver Business to the Ammann Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.volvoce.com\/global\/en\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Volvo Construction Equipment<\/a><\/strong> and the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ammann.com\/en\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ammann Group<\/a><\/strong> have reached an agreement whereby the Ammann Group will acquire Volvo CE\u2019s global ABG Paver Business including ABG in Hameln, Germany.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The agreement will benefit both companies by strengthening the product portfolio and distribution network of the Ammann Group, while allowing Volvo CE to continue to focus on developing sustainable solutions and future technologies and services, in line with the company\u00b4s strategic direction. <\/p>\n<p>The transaction, expected to be completed within the first half of 2024, includes the transfer of Volvo CE\u2019s paving businesses in Linyi (China) and Bangalore (India) as well as Volvo CE\u00b4s ABG facility in Hameln (Germany).<\/p>\n<p>The Ammann Group is a Swiss-based, family-owned, world-leading supplier of mixing plants, machines and services to the construction industry with core expertise in roadbuilding and transportation infrastructure, which they intend to develop further through the ABG Paver business expansion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis strategic acquisition completes the depth of our product offerings and makes the solutions we offer customers more comprehensive,\u201d said Hans-Christian Schneider, CEO of the Ammann Group. \u201cThe acquisition will also position Ammann with a suite of solutions, covering everything from asphalt plants to paving and compaction,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Ammann will leverage its industry knowledge and customer relationships to guide development of the pavers, with ABG in Hameln (Germany) becoming the Center of Excellence for paving operations within Ammann.<\/p>\n<p>The number of employees impacted as a result of this announcement is approximately 400.<br \/>\nCustomers will continue to still have access to the ABG Paving range, as well as aftermarket and other services, through the Ammann Group dealer network and some selected Volvo CE dealers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Volvo Construction Equipment and the Ammann Group have reached an agreement whereby the Ammann Group will acquire Volvo CE\u2019s global ABG Paver Business including ABG in Hameln, Germany.
