Sennebogen 870 E: New long-front demolition material handler with 33 m reach height

Demolishing buildings and industrial plants takes precision and dexterity. This requires special material handlers with a high load capacity and reach. The new demolition version of the Sennebogen 870 E, which offers a reach height of 33 m and a load capacity of 4 t, leaves nothing to be desired.
The newly developed Sennebogen 870 demolition material handler from the current E-series is ideal for demanding demolition work and boasts numerous equipment features. The machine itself is based on the basic machine of the Sennebogen 870 E with a powerful 261 kW diesel engine. The equipment comprises an 18 m basic boom with a quick-change mechanism and a 2.5 m intermediate boom, as well as the 11.5 m stick with reversing mechanism. With the equipment, the machine has a reach height of 33 m and a reach width of up to 20 m. The demolition material handler offers convenient load capacities of up to 4 t across the entire working range.
Two track widths of 4.2 m and 2.6 m can be set thanks to the telescopic crawler undercarriage. When designing the machine, particular attention was paid to ensuring high stability and the robust design of all components. To ensure that the machine can withstand the challenging conditions of demolition work, reinforced variants of many components were deliberately chosen to increase the durability of the components and extend the maintenance intervals. Furthermore, the telescopic undercarriage and the 26 t counterweight ensure that the machine – which has a total mass of 113 t – is stable and secure in any working position. The equipment and rear ballast can be removed for transport. This reduces the transport weight to 66 t.
Safety and comfort for the operator
The modern Maxcab comfort cab provides the operator with a pleasant work environment. The height can be continuously adjusted by 2.70 m and the cab can also be inclined by 30 degrees. These adjustment options, combined with a multitude of cameras, give the operator the best possible view of the entire working range. To protect personnel and the machine, the cab is completely glazed with armored glass, the roof window and windshield are fitted with protective gratings, and there are additional protective coverings on the ULM cylinder.
Precise, safe demolition of up to 10 floors
Depending on the height of the floors, the Sennebogen 870 demolition material handler can demolish buildings of between 9 and 10 floors safely and precisely. The hydraulic material handler offers significant advantages in comparison with other dynamic demolition concepts such as wrecking balls. In built-up areas in particular, buildings can be demolished without causing vibrations. The machine takes hold of individual facade elements or whole building structures precisely and accurately with the demolition shears or the grapple and pulls the parts safely to the ground. At the same time, the machine can also break up and load the demolished material on the spot.
