Metalgalante launches the new self-loading concrete mixer Carmix 45FX

The 2019 edition of Bauma will be an opportunity for Metalgalante to present Carmix 45 FX, the new machine that extends the range of self-loading concrete mixers together with Carmix 25 FX and Carmix ONE. This compact, easy-to-drive and low-maintenance off-road is the most effective and economical solution for producing top-quality concrete in any condition and at any construction site.
Great agility coupled with high productivity make Carmix 45 FX the perfect machine for all those situations that require power, versatility and precision. Its user-friendly driving system, compact size (4.50m high x 7.750m long) and 4x4x4 steering are qualities that allow this self-loading mixer to move around in limited spaces and travel easily on bumpy and rough roads.
Carmix 45 FX has been conceived on a grand scale: the concrete mixer has a capacity of 6100 liters with a mix yield of 4.5 m3, which means that a lot of concrete can be produced in a short time. Internally, a system composed of a double mixing screw and a drum with hydraulic motor rotation and planetary gearbox produces a homogeneous and compact mix. An automatic hydraulic loading system contributes to this result: with a large 600-liter effective loading capacity bucket it loads aggregates in the proper quantity into the drum without wasting material: only 8 buckets to fill the drum. Moreover, Carmix 45 FX has a large cab (in option also closed) featuring a ROPS FOPS structure, and control and block valves to ensure maximum safety and security for the operator. Finally, the driver’s seat is reversible with automatic inversion of the flow circuit, to allow the operator perfect visibility when moving around the site.
Like in all Carmix products, the control and monitoring instruments of this model are also very important: Carmix 45 FX is equipped with Load Cells weighing system that allows to measure, weigh and program any material to create a perfect Mix-Design on site. This is possible thanks to the four load cells sensors, controlled by an onboard programmable computer, placed at the bottom of the drum in order to work as weight sensors precisely where the mixing takes place (RMC PLANT standard level technology). If compared with systems using pressure sensors on the shovel, this system ensures: direct control of elements where the mix is made (including the actual weight of water for W/C ratio optimization), higher accuracy and 3 to 5% weight deviation like in the most sophisticated concrete plants and the verification of finished product.
