MK28H, lightness is its strength

The range of CIFA mixer pump trucks is enriched with a new model, the MK28H: a machine that sets the benchmark in the demanding European market in terms of weight and length of the concrete distribution boom. In mixer pumps, weight is a key factor because it determines the maximum quantity of concrete that can be transported, the so-called payload. In Europe, many countries have a legal 4-axle weight limit of 32,000 kg.
The adoption of carbon fiber technology, exclusive to CIFA, and a careful redesign of all the elements of the unit allow the MK28H to save up to more than 700kg on the equipment, increasing the amount of concrete that can be transported by the same amount to benefit operations and return on investment compared to an MK28L.
The boom
With its 28 meters in 4 sections and the last two carbon fiber sections, it is able to work easily on medium-sized construction sites. The Z-folding system is ideal for flexibility of use on construction sites with limited space providing ease of use. The pipes are 4″ and double-walled, another feature exclusive to CIFA to minimize wear and tear.
The pumping group
There are two pumping units to choose from to equip the MK28H: the PB607L and the PB607EPC. The performances of the two groups are identical, but the PB607EPC is operated by a closed-loop hydraulic circuit with electronic control, with significant advantages in terms of fuel savings and optimization of pumping and valve exchange pressures.
The machine management system
The MK28H is available in two versions: with the open-circuit pumping unit PB607L the Easytronic is fitted, while with the closed-circuit pumping unit the Smartronic is fitted, richer in functionality, and with advanced diagnostics. The Smartronic version is equipped with further devices to reduce the weight of the equipment: 450HB steel drum with 3mm thickness, aluminum water tank, aluminum ladder, and pipe carrier on both sides.
Mounting on chassis
Particular attention has been paid to designing the MK28H so that it is perfectly adaptable to standard 8X4 frames with 4300mm or 4550mm wheelbase and tridem with 3700mm wheelbase.
